“If real development is to take place, the people have to be involved."

Julius Kambarage Nyerere

Hi there, I’m Pip

I'm from Africa, which gives me the advantage of being able to adapt, make a plan, work with what I have on hand, and think on my feet while navigating the beautiful complexity of African life, from sparse water supplies to searing sun; every challenge becomes creative fuel.

Currently calling Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, home, I've lived and worked across South, Central, and East Africa, each region shaping how I approach creative problem-solving.

My beautiful neighbours. Their joy reminds me daily that good work isn't just about business, it's about the communities we're part of and the small ways we can help each other.

Hearing them sing and play every day, is more than music to my ears; it's food for my soul.

My design journey began in the pre-Macintosh era when typesetting was pure craft on Linotronic systems. The smell of darkroom chemicals, the precision of Letraset, NT cutters, eyeglasses, and waxers—paste-up was an art form that demanded both technical skill and creative vision. Sitting in front of my first Apple Mac (a late '80s LC) marked the beginning of my evolution through repro houses, print factories, and design studios, witnessing the entire digital transformation of graphic design.

Today, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign allow me to create from anywhere, whether I'm listening to children play in Dar's dusty streets or feeling the evening breeze while balancing my MacBook on my lap. Technology has liberated creativity, and I've learned to make magic happen from any corner of the world. More importantly, I've learned that the best creative work happens when you truly understand the person behind the business, something no software can do for you.

The Way I Work

I don't take on projects to build my portfolio or prove anything. When we talk, I'm listening for what you actually need, not just what you think you need. That's the gift of combining left-brain structure with right-brain creativity: I can hold your business vision while also seeing the practical systems that will support it.

My decades of experience, from paste-up artistry to digital transformation, taught me that good design isn't decoration. It's infrastructure. It's the booking system that works seamlessly. It's the CRM template that actually gets used. It's the brand identity that gives you confidence when you show up.

Whether you're in Manhattan or Mombasa, I understand that your digital presence isn't separate from your business; it is your business showing up in the world. So we build it together, piece by piece, until your customers understand you the way I've taken the time to understand you.

You'll get practical systems, creative vision, and someone who genuinely cares whether this works for you six months from now, not just at launch.
